Don't keep OCD a secret

The hardest thing about starting my treatment was having to talk to other people about what was happening to me. I'd only just found out what OCD was. It was an illness, and other people had it. I just felt so silly. I felt really stupid to be honest. Having to tell people about how OCD made me check the light switch so many times even though I knew it was off.

For me, talking to people that I trusted really helped me. It really helped me get better. And what I say to you is don't let OCD let you keep secrets. You've got to talk to people you can trust so you can get better.
